Dr. Carmel Vaisman
Dr. Carmel Vaisman is a digital culture researcher. She teaches the introductory course of the digital culture & communication track called "Digital Discourse" and an advanced seminar called "Special Issues in Social Media" which engages contemporary topics and emerging conceptual frameworks in this vibrant ever-changing field. She co-authored the book "Hebrew On-line" (2011) about technology and language change and currently working on a book about the posthuman aspects of everyday life. She completed her PhD in communication at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2010. Her dissertation was an ethnographic project of blogging in Israel.
