Loran Qadri teaches the courses “Arabic for Beginners” and “Spoken Arabic” on the International Liberal Arts Program. Loran Qadri has a BA degree in Law and in Arabic and Islamic studies from Tel Aviv University. Currently a student for an MA research Degree in the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic studies, Loran’s research interest is in Islamic transcendental philosophy particularly in Iran from the Safavid era until today. The specific question she examines is the description of God in Mullā Ṣadrā’s philosophy entitled “the Simple in Reality is all things” (its origins in ancient philosophy and development).

Other research interests are History of Ideas especially in the east, Asian and Islamic political history, and political theory. In addition, she is interested in world literature and writing (historical fantasy/detective genre).
