Admission Requirements
Corona update:
For 2023 admission, submission of SAT/ACT results is optional.
For students unable to submit SAT/ACT results due to the cancellation of CollegeBoard tests, the following requirements apply:
- Minimum 80 average on high school transcript
- Two essays
- Interview
For all other students, where national qualifications are available, candidates must have attained one of the following qualifications:
- SAT - 1100 points
- ACT - 21 points
- Israeli Psychometric test - 450 points
- GaoKao - based on regional scores for the relevant year
- International Baccalauréat
In addition, applicants who have attended a recognized higher education institution for at least two semesters and obtained a GPA of B or above may be considered for admission with 1000 points on the SATs or 19 points on the ACT.
Alternatively, applicants from the following countries may apply using their national exam certificates:

Transfer credits
Students who have credits from other higher education establishments may be able to transfer credit towards their degree. In order to be eligible, the credits must be relevant to the Liberal Arts curriculum. In addition, only courses with a grade B (82%) or above will be considered. A maximum of 80 credits (2 years of study) can be accepted.
It is also possible to receive credit for relevant I.B. (at grade 5+) and A.P. (4+) classes.
Transfer credits will typically result in students being exempted from relevant classes at TAU.
Language requirement
Students who attended a school in which the language of instruction was not English are required to submit scores of an English proficiency exam – TOEFL (minimum 79) or IELTS (minimum 6.5).
For Liberal Arts admission, the ETS TOEFL IBT HOME EDITION online exam has been approved.
For 2022 Dual BA admission, Duolingo English tests are also acceptable.
