Dr. David Kashtan holds a PhD in philosophy from the Hebrew University, completed under the auspices of the Language, Logic and Cognition Center. He has been a post-doctoral researcher at the Edelstein Center for the History and Philosophy of Science. One strand of his research revolves around questions of truth, language and logic, and the ways these notions nourish each other. Another strand studies the history of analytic philosophy, in particular the philosophical underpinnings of Tarski’s logic and semantics. In addition, he is interested in mathematics and science education, especially in their relation to their respective philosophies. He teaches in various teacher training programs, as well as in Adam high-school in Jerusalem.
