What Will I Learn?

The life sciences track includes three introductory courses in biology and three courses in chemistry. The biology courses combined provide you with a good overview of the entire biological world – from the molecules of life and biochemistry, through animal and plant physiology, to evolution, species diversity and ecology. The chemistry courses will teach you the main fields of general and analytical chemistry, physical chemistry and organic chemistry - all required subjects if you wish to gain a comprehensive understanding of life. Please note that this track is currently available only as a minor track. Sample courses offerings include General and Analytical Chemistry and Biology B

 

Is It For Me?

This track is suitable for you, if you are interested in... learning more about the living things in the natural world and how they impact each other.

What stands out about this track? Learn how life evolved and how this relates to today’s global health issues. Explore the spread of diseases, resource conservation, and the complexity of human and animal systems.  

Skills that you will gain or improve in this track include... how to design and conduct research, conserve resources, and improve public health.
