Literature

We lose ourselves in books. We find ourselves there too.

What Will I Learn?

This program offers you an exceptional selection of literature courses, capitalizing on the vast experience of TAU’s Faculty of English and American Studies, and the remarkable amount of courses offered there. You get to choose whether you would like to focus on the American or English literary tradition, and will be required to study literary theory. Our program includes elective classes in literature, which enables you to specialize in areas of interest, such as Shakespeare, postcolonial science fiction, creative writing, the modern American novel, comics and African American literature, to mention a few. We also offer classes which cross over with the Jewish and Israel Studies track. Sample course offerings include: Poetry Analysis, American Modernism, and Apocalypse and Dystopia in American Culture.
