Nitzan is an internationally recognized expert in human-centered design, design thinking, and social entrepreneurship. She was Consulting Professor at Stanford University's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (the d.school) and for the past decade had been teaching at Tel Aviv University's Coller School of Management.
Nitzan co-founded a pre-accelerator program at Tel-Aviv University and together with her consulting practice has advised startups that collectively raised over $900M in venture capital. She holds multiple patents and writes regularly for Israeli media publications. She is a passionate social entrepreneur and promotes the use of human-centered design for social justice. Her interests include humane-design, democracy and technology, the social construction of technology, diffusion of innovation, language and media, post and trans-humanism.
Nitzan holds a Master's degree in History of Design from the Royal College of Art, London, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem.
