Dr. Roy Weinstain received his BSc degree in chemistry and biology in 2005 from Tel Aviv University. He obtained his PhD from the same institution in 2010 for the development of self-immolative molecular systems under the supervision of Prof. Doron Shabat. He then joined Prof. Roger Y. Tsien’s group at the University of California San Diego as a post-doctoral fellow, working on the synthesis and application of fluorescent probes to study dynamic processes in vivo. Since 2014, he has been a Senior Lecturer in the School of Plant Science and Food Security at Tel Aviv University.
