Yafit Shachar is a PhD candidate in the School of Cultural Studies at Tel Aviv University. She holds two MA degrees in Communication and in English Literature, and further degrees in American Studies and Film & Television. Her interests include rhetoric and language, gender and politics, theories of the body, and media studies.
Yafit also has practical experience in the communication industry, working for advertising and public relations agencies in Israel, promoting both local and international clients. She was awarded the Fox International Fellowship by Yale University for the academic year 2021/2. In 2023 she was a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford.
