Dr. Yoav Fromer

Dr. Yoav Fromer is the head of the Center for the Study of the United States at Tel Aviv University and a fellow in the School of Government and Diplomacy. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at Yeshiva University in New York.

He is a graduate of Columbia University (Magna Cum Laude) and holds a PhD in Politics and History from The New School for Social Research in New York (with Honors). He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society.

An intellectual historian and political theorist, Dr. Fromer's research explores the relationship between politics and culture and focuses primarily on modern American Liberalism, Conservatism, and Foreign Policy. He teaches in the social science and humanities departments an array of courses about American foreign policy, history and politics, as well as broader introductory courses in the Liberal Arts about the history of western political thought and literature.
